Before getting started, gather your pieces. Look for white plates (flat bricks) that are 1 x 3 and 1 x 4.

A great way to start building a snowflake is to connect six 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 plates, like this.

Then add a 1 x 4 plate at each corner.

Then add more details! If you think outside the box a little, you can attach bricks at interesting angles. If you place a 1 x 1 round plate under each corner plate, then you can turn the corner plate to just the right angle.
