SET UP:
Using electrical tape or painters tape make 5 or 6 shapes on the floor in a vertical row. Use a few shapes that your child is familiar with and a couple that are new.
Draw out the shapes on paper. One shape per paper and put them in a pile.
Shapes you can use include: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, star, heart, crescent, cross, diamond, oval, hexagon.
Draw a card from the pile. Throw a beanbag or stuffy to that shape. Name the shape.
Talk about the shape. How many sides? How many corners? Curved or Straight?

From the start of the shapes give a toy car a push and see if you can reach the shape on the card. Can you knock other cars on your way?
