To celebrate the Christmas season, members of the National Honor Society here at Notre Dame installed festive decorations on doors throughout the school. Members of the National Honor Society gave up their free time to participate, as vibrant decorations such as wreaths and wrapping paper, as well as a variety of creative drawings, ornaments, and other features, were proudly displayed. This is just one great way that Notre Dame works together as a community to celebrate the positive atmosphere created by Christmas. Thank you NHS members!

‘Tis the season for another outstanding Crusader Christmas. This year, all of the homerooms collected many goods, clothing, and toys for all of the families. The goods were then wrapped and presented on stage during the Mass. After the celebration, all of the gifts were delivered to the assigned families. Thanks to the generous Notre Dame families and Mrs. McCaig who helped organize this year’s special event, it was another successful Golden Mass.
The stage is set for Golden Mass!

This Martin King Luther Jr. Day, I hope we all spent time remembering and keeping in our hearts the extraordinary man who was Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) was a minister and as most know him, one of the most influential and prominent activists of his time whose message is still being spread today. Known for his peaceful protests, speeches, and hope for America’s future, Martin Luther King, Jr. still lives on through the lives he impacted during his short life. In one of his great speeches, the “I Have A Dream'' speech, he says one of the most popular lines ever. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.” The best way we can celebrate his life is to remember those words. Remember his dream that we may not judge somebody by their exterior, but by their interior and the potential they have to change our world for the better with peace and love.

Each year, every homeroom is given a list of families to help support during the Christmas season. This list can include clothes, toys, and necessities. On this day, homeroom is extended for about fifteen minutes and everyone helps wrap each gift. Later, these gifts are wrapped and put in bags that get presented during Golden Mass. Student drivers then take the bags filled with gifts and deliver them to each family.
