Field Intern
This class helps to equip me with valuable employment skills and strategies that I use every single day at my job.
This course is helping me because it gives me the opportunity to miss the second half of my school day to go to work and learn occupational skills that will help me in my future careers in the agriculture field. This class is much different from other courses because it teaches me financial and employment skills that I then get to go and apply at a real life job.
Everyday I go to work at United Prairie in Dewey. I arrive on site around 1pm. I walk into the chemical shed to clock in. After that, I walk to the main office to talk to my manager where I get the tasks I need to complete for that day. The great thing about my job is that everyday is different. Somedays I get to help the guys in the shop work on toolbars, sometimes I get to go deliver parts or products to customers or other locations, and other days I get to go out in the fields with the operators to help apply products to growers fields. This is just a few of the tasks that I get to do everyday at my job!
