Detailer Intern
This class has made my experience in the workplace better by being able to go to the worksite during school hours to obtain more on the job knowledge. This increase in time I have worked with Mahomet Car Connection has definitely helped me build a larger skill set, job site knowledge, and workplace professionalism.
This course is completely different from the rest of the classes at the school. This class doesn't necessarily focus on core units that I taught and tested upon you instead it assessing your skills set and creates a timeline of growth in a career skill set. It is definitely a very welcoming and open setting. I really enjoyed the discussion and reflection of job site situations and the problem/solution approach to the course.
A few of the Projects I have completed:
Above- This is a 2022 Kia Sorento I did a pinstripe job on.
Below- Tesla Model 3 I detailed and prepped for the customer.

When I arrive at work, my tasks for the day could be a list various things that differ from each day. Throughout my time, I have learned a great deal of tasks go into making a business operate and become presentable for operation. From picking up customers and their vehicles to spraying for weeds around the lot at the shop, I generally work to keep day-to-day operations going at the shop. But my main job is detailing cars at the shop. Detailing cars consists of interior cleaning and exterior cleaning of the car, which includes buffing and waxing too. At the the end of my shift, I lock up the shop make sure shuttle vans are returned inside and the garage doors are closed for operation along with all equipment is turned off for the evening. I collect all of the keys from the cars on the lot and lock up for the night.
