Bagger/Checker
This class has helped me find a job suitable to me, and has helped me work through any and all obstacles I faced in the process.
This class is different because it focuses on preparing you for a career. Even if you have already started one, we mainly focus on being exceptional successful students and employees.

A day in my job can involve many tasks. From bagging groceries to stocking shelves, I always remain busy by learning new tasks and skills on-the-job. My day usually starts with bagging. Being a bagger includes the responsibility of sorting groceries by department as you bag, keeping the frozen foods away from hot foods for example. As a bagger, you are also responsible for keeping carts available.
(One thing I learned while doing an extra task, is how to match the product numbers while stocking. You can see above that the tag on the table ends in the numbers 01969. On the coffee bottle, the numbers are 01969. As long as the last 5 numbers match up, then it is in the right place.)
A goal of mine and our class is to be evaluated as "exceptional," in all of my evaluation categories by the end of this experience. We learned in class about having a "growth mind-set" approach to our career path and that to be successful we truly never stop learning. If you are exceptional and stay on top of your training, you may be asked to fill a role outside of your usual job. Here is an example of me being adaptable and filling in for a cashier.
