My senior internship has helped me in many ways. Starting off, I get a boost on life and what i want to do with it at an earlier time. Being that i'm at work more and not at school that allows me move away from a job and build a career. There is two main differing factors to this class. Number one. In this class you don't learn a single thing about school or what is normally taught, you learn about yourself and what YOU are going to with your life and where to start. Number two. I think the simple fact that it gets students out of school 2 hours and 40 minutes earlier then everyone else which is a huge difference, through the whole school year that is 20 full days, or roughly 100 five hour shifts to experience a career and see if I want to continue in that field.

The average day at Flooring Surfaces starts with me clocking in at 1:30. First thing i do is check if there are any deliveries that need to go out. If so I look at the sheet to see where it's located in the warehouse and load them onto the truck with the forklift. I then look to see if there's anything that needs to be picked up for other jobs.
