Custom Apparel Design Intern
This class has definitely helped me with learning about the workplace and how to handle challenges I haven't faced before in a job setting. The class focuses on job skills and training and I have used these learned skill-sets from the course to improve my professionalism, adaptability, attitude, and cooperation. All of this helps with my workplace experience. It is a great experience to get at my age to help with real life scenarios and prepare me to be ready for for the world.
This class is amazing for hands on learners. This program helps in getting you ready for life. I personally like this program to get an eye opener for what is coming in the future. Your teacher will be Mrs. Wherley and she does an amazing job explaining what the program is and how you should act professionally in the workplace. This experience is one that will help your throughout your whole life.
I start my shift by clock-in properly and have lunch. Then my boss and I meet to prioritize tasks that needs to be done during this shift. We usually review on-going tasks then that she has reviewed my work and we reflect on next steps with product and design. We also collaborate on on custom designs or brainstorm ideas for our " bulldog bundle." In addition, I am tasked with store preparation of shirts and pressing them. I also pack orders up and contact the people to come and get these orders when we are open. After I get a majority of the tasks complete, I organize things around the shop and return items where they need to go in the store. I also unpack and ticket new inventory.
