Internal Awards (school-based)

The following school-based Awards are shared to the staff by the SSD. Staff are invited to submit their nominations online using google forms. A minimum time-frame of 2 weeks are usually given for the staff to submit their nominations.

The SLs, together with the SSD and ROs, will usually sit on the selection panel. 

1. Outstanding Contribution Awards or OCAs (school-based)

The OCAs are given out at the end of every year to deserving staff for their innovative contributions to the school. The awards are given to both individuals and groups. 

Process:

1. The staff are nominated by the staff for both Individual and Team considerations. They are required to cite evidence for their nomination on the rubrics given. (see below for rubrics) Nominations are open for 2 weeks at the end of Term 4.

2. Nominees are then evaluated based on the given criteria by a school panel consisting of the School Leaders, SSD and 1 other staff who have not been nominated for the Awards. 

3. OCA winners are then announced at the year-end Staff Meeting.

National Awards (external based)

The following National Awards are publicised on all of the school's social media platforms by the SSD. Parents, students and staff are invited to submit their nominations online or through hardcopy submissions. The forms are made available at the school's General Office. 

The SLs, together with the SSD and ROs, will nominate suitable staff for these external awards.

3. CARING TEACHER AWARD

CRITERIA: refer to website 

• Top 5 winners are decided by the EXCO panel

• Winners and nominees are presented with certificates and citations at staff meeting. 

4. Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA)

• Teachers who fulfil the age criteria for OYEAs have their pictures publicised on all the school's social media platforms to inform stakeholders of the teachers' eligibility.

7. MOE Star Excellence Award

8. Outstanding PE Teacher Award (OPETA) & Outstanding Teacher-Coach Award (OTCA)

9.  Outstanding Science Teacher Award (OSTA)

11. National Day Awards for teaching staff: Commendation, Efficiency & Long Service Medals
