Our teachers aren’t assigning busywork now that SOLs and assessments are finished. Instead, they are wrapping up key lessons and helping students connect everything they’ve learned throughout the year. These weeks feature hands-on projects and activities that reinforce skills in meaningful ways; missing even a few days can make it harder for students to feel confident moving into the next grade.

There are also significant social and emotional benefits. The end of the year is filled with opportunities for celebration and closure—through projects, performances, and time with friends. These moments build confidence and create memories that carry into next year.

Consistent attendance maintains the routines that keep children engaged. While we understand that spring brings busy schedules, we encourage families to plan travel and appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. By prioritizing attendance through the final day, you help your child finish the year with a sense of accomplishment.

How to register: 

• Gather required documents: You will need proof of identity, residency, and health records. You can upload these during registration. If you are missing something, you can still submit the registration form and follow up with your school.

• Complete the online form: Select the 2026-27 Registration Form. You will be asked to create an account with our registration partner, PowerSchool Enrollment, using your email address.

Time to Return Books to the Library!

As we approach the end of the school year, we are beginning to wrap up library activities and prepare our collection for the summer. We kindly ask for your help in ensuring that all library books are returned on time.

Important Dates:

• Friday, May 8 ~ Last day to check out books

• Friday, May 15 ~ All books must be returned

Some helpful places to check for library books include:

• Backpacks and school folders

• Bedrooms, especially under beds or on bookshelves

• Living rooms or family reading areas

• Cars or travel bags

• With siblings who may have borrowed the book
