Time and Money

Unit 3 Overview:

In this unit students will begin to tell time using an analog and digital clock. Students will also identify coins and begin to count coins. Counting coins is a great way to practice skip counting by 5s and 10s with your child. It will support fact strategies and understanding.

  1. Students will tell time to the hour and half hour on an analog clock, applying the knowledge of a.m. and p.m. (2.MD.C.7)
  2. Students will identify coins (dimes, nickels, and pennies), applying skip counting strategies to determining the value of a mixed set in real life situations. (2.MD.C.8)
