Time and Money
Unit 3 Overview:
In this unit students will begin to tell time using an analog and digital clock. Students will also identify coins and begin to count coins. Counting coins is a great way to practice skip counting by 5s and 10s with your child. It will support fact strategies and understanding.
- Students will tell time to the hour and half hour on an analog clock, applying the knowledge of a.m. and p.m. (2.MD.C.7)
- Students will identify coins (dimes, nickels, and pennies), applying skip counting strategies to determining the value of a mixed set in real life situations. (2.MD.C.8)
