STEM Coordination Services
Description
Assistance in maintaining and ensuring a consistent, rigorous and equitable educational experience across district in STEM subject areas; Support in the implementation of the Wisconsin Standards for Information and Technology Literacy K-12 and crossover standards with Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics as well as the Wisconsin Standards for Science. This service will be available four days per month in a district.
Primary Products and Services
Assistance in maintaining and ensuring a consistent, rigorous and equitable educational experience across district in STEM subject areas
Support in the implementation of the Wisconsin Standards for Information and Technology Literacy K-12 and crossover standards with Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics as well as the Wisconsin Standards for Science and Wisconsin Standards for Computer Science
Collaboration with Career and Technical Education to align CTE programs/curricula and core content with the Wisconsin Standards for Technology and Engineering
Creation of a STEM curriculum committee with representatives from all levels and chairing of regular meetings of the STEM curriculum committee
Time spent in classrooms working with teachers on best STEM instructional practices
Function as a liaison between administration, school sites, and Wisconsin STEM stakeholders for the purpose of supporting approved STEM education programs

Organization of meaningful, practical, ongoing professional development in content and pedagogy
Assistance with district instructional materials adoption for STEM instructional materials
Support in the preparation of grant applications and work with program development projects
Participation in professional organizations and continuously updating knowledge of subject area responsibilities
Acting as a resource to schools in the school improvement planning and implementation processes
Support with evaluation of assessment data and providing assistance to district and school personnel to increase student achievement and outcomes on district exams, Advanced Placement exams, industry certification exams, and state accountability
