Inclusion, Co-Serving & Co-teaching
Description
Every student is unique and has strengths and areas to grow. Sometimes students need scaffolds, supports, extensions, accommodations, modifications, enrichment activities, etc. in order to reach their full potential. It is important that we differentiate for all students to push every student along the learning continuum. As educators, we need to create and run effective, collaborative and inclusive classrooms where every student feels like an equal and valued member of the community. The various co-teaching models can be utilized to build and support ongoing collaboration, communication, co-planning, and co-serving. Teachers can use the different co-teaching structures to meet the diverse needs of their students.
