State & Federal Accountability

State & Federal Accountability

Wisconsin's state and federal accountability systems are designed to report district and school performance, as required by law. These systems measure achievement, growth, participation, high school completion, engagement, as well as other priority indicators and criteria.  Districts and schools receive annual accountability reports in the form of State Accountability Report Cards, ESSA Accountability Reports, IDEA LEA Determinations, and IDEA Racial Equity in Special Education.  These reports provide data analyses of student outcomes, summarize district and school performance, and facilitate local continuous improvement efforts.
