Computer science is a discipline that encompasses the study of computers and algorithmic processes, including their principles, hardware and software designs, applications, networks, and impact on society.  Computer science has quickly become foundational in our students’ lives and impacts every aspect of society.  Becoming proficient in computer science empowers students to be informed citizens, gives students the power and agency to collaboratively create new technologies to solve relevant societal problems, and creates opportunities in STEM-related fields.
