Hey, hey Bobcat Nation!
I am thrilled to be moving into the gym this year! This is my third year at Lykins and my 14th year in education. I began my teaching journey as a self-contained special education teacher in Gunter ISD and Jacksboro ISD. After three years in Special Education, I transitioned to teaching 3rd-grade math at a public charter school in Lewisville—where I also met my now-husband, Bryan, a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Celina.
Bryan and I live in Celina with our two handsome and energetic boys—Hank, who will be starting Kindergarten this year, and Lane, who is 3. I started my time in Celina ISD as the Early Childhood Special Education teacher, and I’m so excited to continue my journey here at Lykins as the PE Coach.
My passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students’ lives is what brings me back year after year. I believe every child is a unique individual with value and potential. In my gym, mutual respect is essential. I will love them like my own—but I’ll also challenge them to grow!
I’m looking forward to another terrific year with our amazing Bobcats and The One & Only Mr. Rickey!
