Here's a little about me!
I’m Ms. Stephens and I am so excited to meet you!!!
I have been teaching for 12 years. Three years in Sherman ( 6th and 5th grade Social Studies) and the rest has been right here at Lykins!!! I have taught 5th-3rd grade in various subjects and even online classes for both Lykins and O’Dell !!!
This will be my 2nd year in 2nd grade and I'm looking forward to teaching your precious children.
I have 3 wonderful boys!!! There names are Austin, Colton, and Keaton, and I have to mention my beautiful rescue fur baby named Bella!!!
I graduated college from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas!!! Go Tigers!! Go Hogs!!
I love Jesus and enjoy learning more about HIM!! I thrive on listening and singing Christian songs!!! I enjoy hanging out with my friends, family, and getting mani-pedi’s ,sometimes eating out, and just loving life!!!
Our class will be a learning environment that is safe, fun, and loving!!!
We strive to be problem-solvers using our common sense, to respect ourselves and others, and working and serving each other with integrity!!!

This year our class will be using the Seesaw app. This will be a way for me to communicate with parents, in addition to emails. You can go ahead and download the Seesaw app. Please be on the lookout for future instructions to get connected.
Daily Folders
Please check your child's folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, sight words, and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school.

SPECIALS CLASSES
Our students attend a different specials class each day. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into. Please see the weekly newsletter sent via email on Fridays to know what day it is.

THINGS TO DO
Create a School Cafe account. As our dining services have expanded, so has our system to better serve our Bobcats. This is a new system so all Bobcats who wish to buy their lunch daily or occasionally, must create an account beginning August 1. Additionally, families who qualify for free or reduced meal programs, may indicate that need by filling out the confidential forms. For any Bobcat who had a balance in the My School Bucks system, those funds have been rolled over to the new system. Your balance should be available when you create an account and login.
