Welcome to our Class!
Hi! My name is Megan Mann, and I’m so excited to be your child's kindergaten teacher at Lykins this year. This is my second year teaching kindergarten, and I can’t wait to begin this journey alongside you and your little one!
I attended Collin College and am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University. I was born and raised right here in Celina. I have two sons: Miles, who will be a junior at Celina High School, and Max, who will be in 7th grade at Moore Middle School.
Outside of the classroom, you can usually find us at the football field or track, cheering on the boys. In our spare time, we love watching movies and spending time with friends and family.
I’m looking forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, memorable, and successful year for you and your child!

Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 11th.
What to do before Meet The Teacher:
*Please bring all of the supplies on our Kindergarten list. You will be sorting them with your child at Meet the Teacher.
*Please label the following items with your child's name: scissors, school supply box, composition books, headphones, folders.
*Please be sure to know how your child will be getting home the first three days of school, so I can document it at Meet the Teacher.

This year our class will be using the Seesaw app. This will be a way for the students to share their work with parents. You can go ahead and download the Seesaw app. Please be on the lookout for future instructions to get connected. MORE INFO ON THIS TO COME.

Daily Folders
Please check your child's orange folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, guided reading, and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school.
CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE
Specials Classes:
Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes . Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.
Lunch Service:
Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site. Bobcats may create an account beginning August 1st.
Snack Time:
Please provide a healthy, dry snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.
Lunch Information
As our dining services have expanded, so has our system to better serve our Bobcats. This is a new system so all Bobcats who wish to buy their lunch daily or occasionally, must create an account beginning August 1. Additionally, families who qualify for free or reduced meal programs, may indicate that need by filling out the confidential forms. For any Bobcat who had a balance in the My School Bucks system, those funds have been rolled over to the new system. Your balance should be available when you create an account and login.
Change of Clothes
Change of Clothes
Please keep a Ziplock back of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
