4to Grado!
¡Hola Bobcats! Estoy muy emocionada de ser su maestra bilingüe de 4to grado este año escolar. Este año seré su maestra de Artes del Lenguaje en Inglés y Matemáticas. Mi compañera este año será Mrs. Waters (maestra de Artes del Lenguaje en Español, Ciencias y Estudios Sociales). Un poco sobre mi, naci en Mexico y me mude a Los Angeles cuando tenia 4 años. Obtuve mi licenciatura de la Universidad San José State en 2016 y dos años después decidimos hacer la gran movida a Texas.
He estado casada con mi esposo por 12 años y tenemos dos niñas, Koral (6) y Remi (3). También tenemos un perro, Whiskey. Me encanta pasar tiempo al aire libre con mi familia, la artesanía, hacer ejercicio y cocinar.
Estoy muy emocionada de conocerlos a todos.
Hi Bobcats! I am very excited to be your 4th Grade Bilingual Teacher this school year. This year I will be your English Language Arts and Math teacher. My teaching partner this year will be Mrs. Waters (teaching Spanish Language Arts, Science and Social Studies). A little about me, I was born in Mexico and moved to Los Angeles when I was 4 years old. I got my Bachelors Degree from San Jose State University in 2016 and two years later we decided to make the big move to Texas.
I have been married to my husband for 12 years and we have two girls, Koral (6) and Remi (3). We also have a fury dog, Whiskey. I love spending time outdoors with my family, crafting, working out, and cooking.
I can't wait to meet you all !

Email: The best way to contact me is through my email. Please allow 24 hours to respond. All changes in dismissal need to be communicated through the office.
Thursday Folders: On Thursdays, we will be sending home ‘Thursday Folders’. Please check these folders for notes from the office, graded work, and any other communication.
Smores: Mrs. Hawkins sends out a weekly ‘Smores’ newsletter through email. This will be information on all things Lykins Elementary.

La Directora Hawkins mandará un boletín semanal por correo electrónico. Este tendrá información sobre todas las cosas/eventos que están pasando en Lykins Elementary.

CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE

Snacks: Students may bring a snack. Make sure the snack does not require a spoon or is in liquid form. Examples of appropriate snacks are Cheezits, goldfish, and pretzels. No candy allowed.
Meriendas: Si se permiten meriendas pero no deben de requerir una cuchara o ser en forma de liquido. Ejemplos de meriendas apropiadas y en bolsita son: galletas saladas, Cheerios, Pretzels, etc.
Birthdays: You may drop off a store bought treat in the office. We will celebrate at the end of the day. Please check with me on class size as it changes throughout the year. It's also very helpful if the treats are all the same flavor, but you certainly do not have to do that.
Cumpleaños: Pueden mandar a la oficina golosinas compradas en la tienda. Celebramos los cumpleaños al fin del día.
Homework: Regular homework will not be sent home at this time. Things you can do at home to help support your child are reading each night, practicing math facts using flashcards or online apps, or any CISD approved websites.
Tarea: No se mandara tarea diaria. Pueden apoyar su estudiante en casa leer cada noche, practicar las tablas, usar juegos de tarjetas, aplicaciones en el internet o cualquier sitios aprobados por el distrito de Celina.
Breakfast and Lunch: Unfortunately, breakfast and lunch are not free this year. You will need to add funds to your child's ‘My School Bucks’ account.

Specials: Specials are on a six day rotation. There is not a set day for each special. Please make sure students wear tennis shoes on PE days.

Create a School Cafe
As our dining services have expanded, so has our system to better serve our Bobcats. This is a new system so all Bobcats who wish to buy their lunch daily or occasionally, must create an account beginning August 1. Additionally, families who qualify for free or reduced meal programs, may indicate that need by filling out the confidential forms. For any Bobcat who had a balance in the My School Bucks system, those funds have been rolled over to the new system. Your balance should be available when you create an account and login.
Complete the Volunteer Background Check
This must be completed at the beginning of every school year, and allows you to volunteer for CISD.
