Hey Bobcats! My name is Melanie Lombardo and I am so excited to be apart of the Lykins family this year. This will be my first official year teaching at Lykins (I was a substitute teacher here last year and I fell in love with every part of this amazing school).  A little bit about me...I graduated from Baylor University (Sic 'em Bears) in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Sciences concentrating in Child and Family Studies and in 2014 I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from TWU. I have worked as an Early Intervention Specialist for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) as well as taught Pre-K and Kindergarten. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom after being a stay at home mom for the past few years. 

I am originally from Whitesboro, TX but have lived in Celina for 6 years. I love spending time with my family, friends, going to church, cooking, baking, crafting, playing games (I love Phase 10), disc golf, traveling, and going to see movies. My husband Matt and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year. We have been blessed with two amazing children and a crazy Pyredoodle named Moose.  Our son Levi will be a 2nd grader and our daughter Aubrey will be starting Kindergarten this year.  We are all very excited to be together at Lykins! Just like many of you our kids keep us busy with all their fun activities and you will most likely run into us at Old Celina Park. 

I am so blessed to be apart of this wonderful school and know this is going to be an amazing school year!
