Hi! My name is Riki Caraballo and I am so excited to be part of the Lykins family this year! As a second-year teacher, I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and be a part of the incredible culture that makes Celina such a special place. I earned my Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences with concentrations in Behavior, American Sign Language (ASL), Sociology, and Psychology from the University of North Texas. These areas of study have given me a strong foundation for supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth in the classroom
I was born and raised in Texas and grew up and graduated from Little Elm ISD.
I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, having game/movie nights.
I am so excited to begin this school year at Lykins Elementary! I look forward to partnering with you to support your child's growth and success while creating a classroom where every student feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn.

Dear Families,
I am thrilled to invite you to join our classroom community on ClassDojo! This wonderful tool will help us stay connected throughout the year by allowing you to see photos of our daily activities and receive important updates.
Your involvement is highly valued, and I believe that seeing your child's hard work and milestones will help us build a truly strong home-school connection. By joining, you ensure that you are always a part of our classroom's special moments and successes. We can't wait to have you on board and start sharing all the amazing things your child is doing!
A daily folder will usually be sent home with your child. Please check this folder each day for important communications such as daily notes, behavior insights, and other important information.
The folder should also be used to send notes and other information to the school.
CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE
Your student will have their own individual schedule that will include:
lunch/recess time
specials time (P.E., Art, Music, Technology)
Core Subjects (Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies)
Children often require a change of clothes during the school day. There are many reasons for this: spilled drink or food, unexpected soiling, a vibrant recess, and so on.
Please keep at least one Ziplock bag of extra clothes in your child's backpack at all times. Check the backpack each afternoon to see whether or not clothes were changed that day.
I keep some extra things on hand, but there's no guarantee that they'll be a great fit and they will almost certainly not be fashionable. Please return loaner clothes the next day if possible. I'll launder them.
Please include:
underwear
socks
shirt
pants
shoes
Your child will need a snack each day. You may pack a snack daily or send several snacks for the week - just let us know so that we plan accordingly.
Your child needs to stay hydrated, so please send a water bottle each day. Students are able to refill their bottles in the school's water filtration fountains as needed. Plus, refilling water bottles is a wonderful learning activity for our kids, so please send a bottle.
