Car Line Drop Off begins at 7:25.
If you drive to Lykins using Sunset Blvd. then you use the south parking lot for drop off. There is no left turn onto Utah during arrival and dismissal.
If you drive to Lykins using Utah Dr., then use the west parking lot for drop off.
When dropping off your student using the car line, please pull all the way forward. We try to unload about 4-5 cars at a time. Parents do not get out of your car.
Please encourage your child to take off his/her own seat belt and open the car door. We want to encourage independence. For your child's safety, never allow your child out of the car without a staff member present.
Staff inside and outside the building will ensure that all students get to their classroom.
Walkers and bike riders will enter the front of the school. Please remind your students to use the crosswalk and look for passing cars.

Dismissal begins at 3:05
ALL buses must be dismissed before carpool lines begin.
Older siblings will go to the youngest siblings' dismissal location.
Walkers/Bike Riders will be walked by staff to 3 different locations labeled on the map. Communicate which walker location your child will use to your child’s teacher.
All Pre-K, Kinder, 1st graders and their older siblings who are car riders will be dismissed in the west parking lot. Cars will enter this traffic pattern by coming southbound on Utah. You will place your car tag number on your rearview mirror for staff to input car numbers. Parents do not get out of your car, if you need to personally put your child in a car seat/booster. You will need to pull forward out of the carpool line.
Cars may not turn left from Sunset onto Utah for dismissal.
Please refrain from skipping cars to get ahead in the line. (This makes people angry and you will not make friends.)
2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders who are car riders will be dismissed in the south parking lot. Please note that the 2nd & 3rd grade line goes on the outer loop closest to the building while the 4th grade line goes on the inner loop in the parking lot.
Remember safety for students and staff is our number one priority.
Please be kind and patient the first week as we all learn car numbers and routines for a successful dismissal.

Please make sure your child is aware of after school arrangements before arriving at school. A student’s regular dismissal procedure will not be altered without written permission by the parent.
If you need to change the way your child goes home, PLEASE EMAIL YOUR CHILD'S
HOMEROOM TEACHER BEFORE 2:00 P.M. If your teacher has not confirmed the change, please call the main office.

Arrival/Morning: Bus riders will be dropped off In the gym. Staff members will supervise students as they get off the bus and enter the school building.
Dismissal/End of Day: Bus riders will be picked up from the gym, the south side of the school building. Staff members will supervise students as they get on the bus.
