Hello! My name is Hannah Kraemer, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!
This is my first full year of teaching after beginning my career in December 2025, and I couldn't be more excited to continue my journey at Lykins Elementary. I recently graduated from Baylor University—SIC 'EM BEARS! I love being a part of the Celina community and am thrilled to spend another year at Lykins.
This year is especially exciting because I will be getting married in September! To make the transition as smooth as possible, I will be starting the school year using my married name, Mrs. Kraemer. Although my last name will officially change after the wedding, you'll see Mrs. Kraemer on classroom materials and in communication from the very beginning. The good news is it's pronounced exactly the same as my previous last name, so the only change is the spelling!
I look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child has a successful, engaging, and memorable fourth-grade year. Together, we'll make it a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and fun.
Thank you for sharing your child with me this year. I can't wait to get to know each of my students and their families.
GO BOBCATS!
Communication!
The best way to contact me is via email. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response. All changes in dismissal need to be communicated through the office if they occur after our lunch time (1:00 pm), or if you don't hear back from me by 2:00 pm.
We will be sending home ‘Thursday Folders’ each week. Please check these folders for notes from the office, scored work, and any other communication.
Mrs. Hawkins sends out a weekly ‘Lykins Links’ newsletter through email (and also on our facebook page). This will be current information on all things Lykins Elementary (mentioned above).
This Parent Guide is an all inclusive, one stop resource for parents. Check it out - click the "Home" button at the bottom of this page, then scroll down to find answers to questions you may have on specific topics!
We will also be using GroupMe this year for any last minute communication or changes! This will be another way for me to communicate with parents in addition to our weekly email. Please use this link or scan the QR code to join!
Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 10th.
What to do before Meet The Teacher:
Please label the following items with your child's name: scissors, school supply box, composition books, headphones, folders.
Snacks: Students may bring a snack each day. The snack should not require a spoon or be in liquid form, and easy to eat. Examples of suggested snacks are Cheezits, goldfish, granola bars, and pretzels. No candy/sugar please. Students may eat during morning meeting/WIN or save for dismissal time. Water bottles should contain only water. Thank you!
Birthdays: You may drop off store bought treats in the office. We will celebrate at the end of the day. Plan for 24 students.
Homework: Regular homework is not sent home. Things you can do at home to help support your child are reading each night, practicing math facts using flashcards or online apps, or CISD approved websites.
Breakfast and Lunch: Served daily at 7:20 and 1:00. You will need to add funds to student ‘School Cafe’ account (link below). Please note that students may also purchase snacks and ice cream, as you may want to discuss appropriate charging limits. Parents may eat with their child and one friend, but we ask that you refrain from taking photos while in the cafe. If you are interested in volunteering for lunch duty, please reach out with dates available at any point during the school year!
Specials:
Specials are on a six day rotation. Please make sure students wear tennis shoes on PE days (Days 2/4/6 for our class), or stash a pair in their backpack for easy changing. We will send you a master list at Meet the Teacher! *You may also want to pack a labeled ziplock with change of clothes as a "just in case"!
Please check your child's Daily Folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, event flyers, and other information will be sent home. Your child needs to bring their Daily Folder to school every day.

I want to celebrate your child on their special day! To do this please contact me if your child has a birthday you would like to celebrate by sending a sweet treat to school. This will allow me to check for any allergies in the classroom beforehand. Please send one treat per student and drop them off at the front office. There are 16 students in our class.
