Welcome, Bobcat Families,
My name is Kelsie Baxley, and I am thrilled to embark on my fourth year as a Bobcat! I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, and this marks my 15th year in education. I began my teaching journey in Cypress Fairbanks ISD in Houston before spending three years in Prosper ISD.
My husband and I live in Prosper, TX, with our four daughters, son, and our Chihuahua, Diego. One of my daughters is currently attending school in Prosper, while my youngest two will be at Moore Middle School this year. My four-year-old son is eagerly looking forward to becoming a Bobcat next year.
I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you!
What to do before Meet The Teacher:
Please bring all of the supplies on our 1st grade list. You will be sorting them with your child at Meet the Teacher. Also, please label the following items with your child's name: scissors, school supply box, and headphones.
Please be sure to know how your child will be getting home the first three days of school, so I can document it at Meet the Teacher.
This year our class will be using the ClassDojo App.This will be another way for me to share classroom news with parents. You can go ahead and download the ClassDojo app.
Please check your child's folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, sight words, and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school.

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or they can bring them to change into.
Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site for lunches in the cafeteria and any additional snacks. Bobcats may create an account beginning August 1st.
Please provide a healthy snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.
Create a School Cafe account. As our dining services have expanded, so has our system to better serve our Bobcats. Additionally, families who qualify for free or reduced meal programs, may indicate that need by filling out the confidential forms.
