¡Bienvenidos a tercer grado! Estoy tan contenta de que su hijo(a) esté en mi clase. Tenemos un año maravilloso lleno de aprendizaje y cosas divertidas por delante.
Mi nombre es Johanna Townley y estoy muy emocionada de ser la maestra de su hijo(a) este año escolar. Este es mi quinto año en Dual Language pero el segundo en el distrito de Celina.
Me gradué de la Universidad Stephen F. Austin con una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Estudios Interdisciplinarios y una especialización en Educación Infantil. Siempre quise dedicarme a esta profesión porque hay algo verdaderamente especial en ver a los estudiantes crecer y ganar confianza en ellos mismos. Me brinda mucha alegría y propósito.
Tengo tres perritos que AMO mucho: dos pastores alemanes, mi traviesa Dolly y mi dulce Fitz, y por fin mi chiquita cockapoo llamada Kissy. Me gusta mucho leer en mi tiempo libre y mirar mis programas de televisión.

Welcome to third grade! I am so happy that your child is in my class. We have a wonderful year ahead filled with learning and fun experiences.
My name is Johanna Townley, and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this school year. This is my fifth year in Dual Language, but my second year in the Celina district.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I have always wanted to be in this profession because there is something truly special about seeing students grow and gain confidence in themselves. It brings me so much joy and purpose.
I have three dogs that I LOVE very much: two German Shepherds, my mischievous Dolly and my sweet Fitz, and finally my little cockapoo named Kissy. I really enjoy reading in my free time and watching my favorite television shows.

Por favor revise la agenda de su hijo semanalmente. Aquí será donde se enviarán a casa las notas de comportamiento, notas diarias y cualquier otra información el jueves.
Aquí también es donde enviarás notas a la escuela. Firmarás y devolverás las agendas semanales el día siguiente, viernes.
Las carpetas semanales de Bobcat (jueves) con el trabajo escolar calificado llegarán a casa ese dia. Por favor regresarlos el viernes también.

Please check your child's planner weekly. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, and any other information will be send home on Thursday.
This is also where you will send notes to school. You will sign and return the weekly planners the following day, Friday.
Weekly Bobcat (thursday) folders with graded school work will come home. Please return on friday as well.
HORARIO DIARIO DE CLASE
Nuestros estudiantes asisten a una clase de especiales diferente cada día durante 1 hora.
Todos deben utilizar zapatos tenis (cerrados) para participar de manera segura en Educación Física (en ocasiones especiales, debe traerlos en la mochila).
El dinero del desayuno, almuerzo, snack y/o helado se puede agregar en línea a la cuenta del estudiante.
Merienda: Por favor, envíe una merienda saludable para comer en clase y una botella de agua reusable con popote adherido que pueda ser fácil para tomar y llenar fácilmente.
Ropa adecuada para el clima: Por favor asegúrese de que su hijo(a) esté vestido(a) apropiadamente para el clima y para la clase especial que tenga ese día.
Si su hijo(a) tiende a tener frío, mándelo(a) con una chaqueta ligera que pueda usar en el salón de clases cuando lo necesite.
CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE
Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes . Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.
Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site.
Snack: Please provide a healthy, dry snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.
Weather Appropriate Weather: Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather and their specials for that day.
If your child tends to get cold, send them with a light jacket they can wear in the classroom as needed.
Students will be going to specials with their house color this year!

Si es posible, envíe en un bolsa plástica una muda de ropa en la mochila de su hijo/a en caso de tener algún accidente en la escuela o se ensucie y necesite cambiarse. Rotule la bolsa con el nombre y el apellido de su hijo/a. Asegúrese de cambiar la ropa para que esté adecuada con el clima.

If possible, please send a plastic bag with an extra set of clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
