Artist Statement: I titled this piece summer nights because this is what this night reminded me of. I went out with my friends under the cover of the starry night and explored, laughed, and genuinely had fun. All of this reminded me of summer. This connects to the pandemic because I haven’t been able to do this kind of stuff during the pandemic and I’ve missed it. I choose to submit this because I really like this picture and this whole submission is about creativity and how it connects back to the pandemic and I believe that this does that quite nicely. I didn’t really have any inspiration. But if I had to choose one it would be pictures on Instagram that give off this kind of summertime vibe. I hope that people will feel the same peaceful summer time vibe that I do.
