Dear future self,
During the Covid-19 pandemic the world learned a lot more than just how to manage a 6 foot distance from people. We learned to fight as a community for further understanding and growth. In the beginning of the Pandemic, we came together and agreed to stay inside and to stay as far away from other people as possible to help maintain the safety of others around us. With doing so we prevented 3.1 million deaths worldwide. Furthermore, on may 25th an innocent man named George Floyd lost his life because of the color of his skin. This helped raise a powerful movement called the Black Lives Matter movement which got millions of people off of their feet to go outside and make their voice’s heard. Even you participated in this movement in hope of change by spreading the word and protesting for what you believe is right. Police brutality had then been brought into daylight and is no longer set aside. The covid pandemic has shown people how much of a difference we can make if we stand together. We were also shown the impact on the ecosystem we make with the technology we have created. Without as much air traffic the CO2 levels have decreased making the air quality better. More people are forced to go outside and engage in their personal hobbies that they set aside during normal times. Alongside the importance of a strong economy and how fast our life can change for the worst. Moving forward we should now be more grateful of the people and things we love and work together to make our community a better and safer place.
