Writer's Statement: For this project, I made a bucket list for the things I want to complete before my time at Mountainside has come to an end. I titled it “You’ve Made It” because by the end of high school if I have been able to check off everything on my list, then I have made it. I have succeeded in my high school career. I think that my list connects to the pandemic because some of these things I would be doing right now if it weren’t for quarantine. Like making new friends, or participating in spirit week. This adds on to the challenge to complete my bucket list, because I have shortened my timeline by about 3 or 4 months. I chose to submit this type of project, because it added in a fun creative side that I really enjoyed. I also love to make lists, and bucket lists. I think it is a super fun idea to get to check all of your dreams off as you complete them, and it makes you feel super good about yourself. My inspiration for this was the summer bucket list I made last summer. It was a lot longer than this one, but it was a ton of fun to decorate and think of adventures to go on with my friends. I completed everything on that list, which was about 50 things, and it reminded me about how much fun I had that summer. I want the people who see this to think about the things they want to accomplish before high school is over, and the desire to make a bucket list too, because it reminds you to stay on track to complete your goals.
