A hero is someone who puts their life after the lives of others. They make sure the ones around them are okay before helping themselves. Essential workers are definitely heroes since they don’t think twice about put their life at risk to make sure the rest of us are okay. To do something like this isn’t easy at all. You always have the mindset that this might kill me, but they still do it. Selfless acts are exactly what they do. They don’t care about themselves half as much as they care about us, making them seem like true heroes who are so incredible, they don’t need capes. Most of these “everyday heroes” are people who wouldn’t think twice about being one. For example, a bus driver works so hard everyday trying to get us to our destinations on time, and we barely acknowledge them. “To date they’ve lost 30 fellow bus operators to COVID-19”. To know that they died trying to help us, really something only a true hero would do.
