This pandemic has its good and bad sides. One good thing about it is that it has given me some new hobbies to entertain myself. I've recently taken up mountain biking and have had so much fun so far into the quarantine. I have also realized how easy it is to get injured while biking. No broken bones quite yet and I am hoping for it to stay that way. I've discovered all different kinds of trails throughout Beaverton and Lake Oswego and am hoping to find many more. Overall I have been a lot more active than I was before it started.
Some of the downsides are being trapped at home or not being able to go outside with it raining every other day. I think this also has been pretty stressful for the majority of adults since this is quite strenuous financially and some people have even lost their jobs. I think with all the protests going on currently, we’re going to have a second wave and potentially may go into a second lockdown with how things are going right now.
I think this pandemic is somewhat of a good thing though because people are realising their weaknesses due to what is happening to them. If someone can't afford food or to pay bills from not being able to go into work then they should focus on putting away some money for situations like these. I also don't think the virus will ever go away and it’s just going to be another factor of life like influenza or something of the like. This virus isn’t all good but if you look for it you may be able to find a silver lining in the situation you’ve been put in.
