Artist Statement: How it got its name and how it connects to the pandemic, well overall when you look at this pandemic it is a very rocky uncertain trail that we are on. No one knows what’s happening and how to overcome it without just going with the flow, just like this trail, I had never gone up it before so I just had to send it to see where it would take me. Just like this mountain, there are different sides and a peak, you go up one side not knowing what is on the other side until you get to that peak, just like this pandemic. Once you can see the other side, it gives you a relife now you know what is happening next, you get a little more comfortable. That was pretty much how people were acting at first, it was tense and no one knew what was on the other side of the ¨pandemic mountain¨ but now it’s more relaxed and going back to normal, we can see our normal, exciting lives in the future and help us to not take things for granted. Why I chose this response and my inspiration, for me it is easier to see a picture rather than someone describes it, it gives better detail. I was inspired to go up this mountain because of the end result, the end view, and looking back seeing what you have done. What I hope my audience got out of it, I hope they got a new view, a new way to see this crazy time.
