I call my masterpiece “Panda-demic”, I call it this because if you go outside you could get infected by the virus and die just like if you go near a panda you could get attacked and die. The caution tape of course tape of course in this case is used to show the potential for infection if you go outside, rather than being attacked by a panda. This piece connects to the pandemic because it shows the fear a lot of the population has about going outdoors and how there is danger to some degree. Although unlikely, you can even get the virus by walking the dog if you're not mindful of your surroundings. It also shows how many people feel trapped within the confines of their home and want to go outside and be free but they cant.I chose this response because a picture is worth a thousand words and there is no better way to paint a picture in people’s minds about how life during the virus was than an actual picture. I have only left my house once besides walking the dog since the last day of physical school. Houses have become the safe zone for people to stay in while they wait the virus out. The outside world has become more and more foreign and is even beginning to feel disconnected from the house in which I live. These reasons inspired me to take that photograph.I hope the audience viewing this now will not like they are alone in feeling trapped or alone in feeling scared. If people are watching this in the future I hope they get a sense of what life was like and how there are two sides to every story, just as there are two ways to view the caution tape. One view being that the caution tape is imprisoning people in and the tape is bad. The other view being that the caution tape is good and it helps keep the virus out.
