Assessment Procedures for Admission and Placement

Each school develops local assessment procedures for admission and placement using the abbreviated version of the Archdiocesan Summative Assessment Tool in reading and math (e.g., MAP Growth).

Purpose:

• To insure that the student receives the proper level of instruction.

Commentary/Procedural Points:

• Brigance is used for screening for Early Childhood placement.

• MAP Growth should be used for new admission placement.
