ADM 12.0
Each school must design a crisis management plan based on local LEA’s policies and procedures.
Purpose:
To ensure the safety of all during an emergency.
Commentary/Procedural Points:
Staff members are informed of procedures for crisis situations.
Procedures and emergency numbers are written clearly and concisely and are posted in conspicuous places, as well as contained in the Crisis Management Plan.
This plan will be reviewed and revised annually and discussed with the faculty at the beginning of the school year.
The plan should be made available to local jurisdictions upon request.
The crisis plan must be uploaded to E-prove each fall.
To ensure designated administrative leadership and coverage within the schools, principals should notify their associate superintendent when they will be out of the school building. Such occurrences would be for vacation, sick, or personal time, or for meeting attendance, including both full and partial days. The principal should also inform the associate superintendent of the administrator in charge in the absence of the principal.
