Create Assignments

  1. Create Assignments

1) Select [Create/Submit Assignment] in Ajou Bb course

2) From the Assessment tab, select [Assignment]

3) From Assignment information, enter the name, instruction, points possible, etc

2. Option for creating assignment

[Choose assignment options from Submission Details]

1) [Due Date] : Setup a deadline

  • Students can still submit even after the due date

  • For assignments submitted after the due date, it is marked as 'Late'

2) [Points Possible] : Enter 0~999

3) [Submission details] : Assign number of attempts

    • Allow single attempt: students cannot edit/delete assignments after submission even before the due date

    • Allow unlimited attempts: students can submit assignments unlimited times by clicking [New submission]

(If there is limited availability, students can submit even after grading)

    • For unlimited attempts, you have to select 'score attempts using' option

[Note]: When creating the same assignment as group submission, if a student is registered to many groups at the same time, the student can submit the same assignment to different groups

4) [ Grading Option]: enable anonymous or delegated marking other than professor/TA

5) [Display of Grades] : display option for students' assignment grades

6) [Make Assignment Available]: Activate this checkbox for students to see the assignment

    • When setting Limit Availability, the assignments are unseen from students once the availability period is over

    • When the 'Display Until' date and 'due date' for submission are the same, the students cannot submit the assignment after the submission date.

    • To allow late submission, set 'Display Until' date later than 'Due date'

7) After completing the setting, save by clicking [Submit]

3. Grading Option - Enable Delegated Marking

※ You can choose delegated marking for multiple markers other than instructor/TA

Instructor/TA are all markers and has equal grading permission

※ When activating 'Enable Delegated Marking' for TA marking, the instructor needs to double- check the grading result

1) Submission to Grade: Click submission to grade drop-down menu (∨) to assign submission for marking and give marking permission

    • None: not assign submission to mark (default)

    • All Submission: give marking permission for all submission

    • Random Set: allocate a random set of submissions. You can determine the number of assignments allocated to a marker

    • Group: allocate markers to a set of students who are members of a group

2) View Setting: Can view other grader's scores, feedback, and notes

3) Reconcile Grades: Can reconcile final grades

    • The grade given by the unauthorized marker is a temporary grade

    • For grades that have not been reconciled is shown as 'needs grading'

    • Instructor with grade reconciliation permission needs to review and confirm the final grade
