Share Screen

1. Start 'Share Screen'

  • Click green [Share] button at the bottom an select the screen or program you wish to share >> Click [Share]

[Basic Tab]

1) Desktop 1: share the current monitor screen

  • If your class requires a change of multiple windows, screen share is recommended

  • All activities on screen are shared(including the activity of clicking a folder and finding a file, etc.)

2) Whiteboard: You can share a whiteboard screen as the whiteboard window appears

3) iPhone/iPad: Screen share with iPhone and iPad

4) Lecture note window: Unlike 1) Screen share, it only shares the specific window of document file or folder

  • For PPT, it shares the full screen(Slide show)

  • Multiple screen windows change during class is not recommended(need to click 'new share' every time you change the window)

5) Internet Browser Screen: share activities in the browser screen

6) Share computer sound: can share the computer sound (select when playing background music or video)

7) Optimize for full-screen video clip: optimize the screen share to watch a video clip

  • Can make some improvement for those with screen share lag

  • If selected, it can cause the low-resolution problem

For number 2) ~ 5) the screen share stops if you close the shared screen

[Advanced Tab]

1) PowerPoint as Virtual Background: Based on the PPT slide show format, the presenter's face is merged on the screen(Beta Service)

2) Portion of Screen: Allow you to share just a portion of your screen. When you start sharing, it will display a color rectangle that you can move around and re-size to share just the portion of the screen defined by that rectangle

3) Computer Sound Only: Share only the audio from your computer without sharing your screen.

4) Video: share the video screen by opening video file on PC

5) Content from 2nd Camera: Share contents from a second camera that is not your computer screen

    • First Camera: Laptop Camera or PC webcam

    • Second Camera: Smartphone or digital camera connected by USB

  • Share screen of the file uploaded on different file sharing platforms

2. Menu Function

[Floating Meeting Controls]

  • Place your cursor on 'You are screen sharing' to see the floating meeting controls(Menu)

[Menu Function]

1) Participants: Click to view a list of participants

2) Chat: Send a message to one person or to all participants using the chatbox

3) New Share: Switch shared screen to a different window, application, file, or whiteboard

  • When sharing lecture note or specific window(PPT, PDF, etc), then it shares the activities in the shared window (not the whole monitor screen)

  • To share other windows(other files, folder), click [New Share] to switch the screen

  • For classes that require multiple screen switches, monitor screen share is recommended

4) Pause Share/Stop Share: Click to pause/stop sharing

5) Remote Control: Give the remote control to another participant of your shared screen

  • In case it requires practice on sharer's screen, it is not recommended

1) Disable Annotation for others: allow/not allow participants to use annotation to add information to their shared screens

2) Hide Names of Annotators: allow hosts to distinguish annotators

  • To distinguish 2 or more annotators

3) Hide Video Panel: display/not display the video panel during screen sharing to play videos

  • Even if the instructor used the 'Hide Video Panel' option, the students can still see the video panel

4) Hide Floating Meeting Controls: Hide the Floating Meeting Controls from the screen

  • Even if you do not hide the controls, the Floating Meeting Controls cannot be seen on students' screen

  • Once you click it, the guideline message for cancellation appears for 5 seconds

  • Cancel Hide: press the [ESC] button to cancel hide

3. Annotate

1) Mouse: Drag and click

2) Select: Move annotation or edit the text annotation

3) Text: Click during screen sharing to enter text

  • To edit text, click [Select] >> Double click the text box to edit

4) Draw: select the drawing tool to draw shapes, arrows, etc.

5) Stamp: display selected stamp on the shared screen

6) Spotlight/arrow/vanishing pen: select the desired function

7) Eraser: erase each annotation

8) Format: can change annotation color, thickness, and font options

9) Clear: select the annotation delete option

  • Clear All Drawings: Delete all the annotations made in shared screen

  • Clear My Drawings: Delete annotation made by me

  • Clear Viewer's Drawings: Delete annotations made by the participants excluding me

10) Save: Save the image file of the shared screen including the annotation

  • Click the ⓥ button: select the save option
