Ready Stream

  1. How to access and install Ready Stream

(Use the same Ajou portal login account)

1) Enter portfolio.ajou.ac.kr into the Address bar >> Click [Login]

2) Login using Ajou University Portal ID/PW

3) Click [Content Tool] tab at the top of the screen >> Click [Shortcut to install] and install the program

4) After complete the installation and click [Run] to run the program

※ Once the program is installed, login the website(https://portfolio.ajou.ac.kr) and run the program every time you record the lecture

2. Ready Stream : Test Recording

Installation of Microphone and Webcam on PC or laptop is required

Test microphone/camera devices before the recording begins

1) When the program starts, click [Yes] for the pop-up notification.

2) Test camera & microphone input for 10 seconds: After 10 seconds, the test result comes out

    • Depending on the recording test result, you can have the additional test until it is satisfactory

3) After the recording device test,

    • All Normal : Click [End Test] >> Click [See Result] >> Check the output status >> Click [Close]

    • Camera/Microphone not normal : Check the error message >> Re-adjust the setting >> Click [Start Test] >> go to 2) and try the test again

3. Ready Stream : How to record

1) Slide: Record lecture note screen and instructor's video/audio (※ You can select to record lecture notes and audio-only without instructor's camera)

2) Screen: Record instructor's PC screen and audio

3) Whiteboard: Record what's written on the whiteboard and the instructor's audio

4) Video Presentation: Record instructor's video and audio

5) Video: Add video and record while playing the video (※ Notice: Warning Concerning Copyright Restriction)

4. Ready Stream : Start Recording

4.1 Slide Presentation

1) Click [Slide Presentation]

2) Select the type of recording [video(instructor's camera+ audio)] or [audio]

3) Click [search] and add PPT file

4) Click [Add Story]

4.2 Screen Presentation

1) Click [Screen Presentation]

2) From the Screen Recording Setting, select use/don't use audio >> Video Pixel Size >> Click [Start Recording]

4.3 Whiteboard Presentation

1) Click [Whiteboard Presentation]

2) Select the type of recording [video(instructor's camera+ audio)] or [audio]

3) Select the background of whiteboard and click [Add Story]

4) Follow the same steps above as in 4.1 Slide Presentation

4.4 Video Presentation

1) Once you click [Start Presentation Recording], it will start in 3 seconds

    • Click [Start Test] at the bottom to test recording (Same recording test with '2. Ready Stream: Test Recording'

2) Click [Pause Recording] to pause the recording and [End Recording] to finish

5. Ready Stream: Record

[Example] Slide Presentation

1) Click [Start Recording] at the bottom >> Recording begins in 3 seconds

2) Click [Next Slide] to go to the next screen

6. Ready Stream : Simple Editing

1) Click End button (■) once the lecture recording is finished

2) If you click [Trimmer], you can do simple editing work

3) Using the bar the bottom, select the area you want to edit >> Click [Apply] >> Select [Section Setting Option] >> Click [Confirm]

Section Setting Option:

  • Keep the selected section: keep the selected section and delete the remaining part

  • Delete the selected section and merge: delete the selected section and merge as one story

  • Split by selected section: Based on the selected section, the story is split

7. Ready Stream : Export after Recording

1) Click [Export] after the recording >> Recording starts in 3 seconds

2) Fill in the basic information in the export window: basic information item about the video after uploading it to the portfolio

3) Click [Upload] >> After uploading process is finished, click [Close]

4) The video is uploaded in the portfolio and the original version is saved on local PC […Xinics\ReadyStream] simultaneously

8. Ready Stream : Portfolio Functions

Ready Stream converts and manages the uploaded files in portfolio

1) Share: Share the video creating weblink

2) Original file: When clicking, the original version of uploaded content is downloaded

3) Convert to MP4: Convert the uploaded content to MP4 >> download available after conversion is completed

4) Transfer: Create a separate folder and arrange the uploaded content

    • Create Folder: Click the (+) button on the right menu

    • Right Click the created folder to change the name

5) Edit: You can change the basic information at the bottom of the content

6) Delete: Delete the selected content

Note: When deleting a video from portfolio, all attendance video linked to Ajou Bb is also deleted
