Step 1 – Application Process
Employees will need to complete two documents for this state.
The Registered Employee Application will need to be completed and signed by hand, then mailed in with your notarized affidavit.
When completing the application, please note the following:
Position/Title: Either Sales or Installs or Both
Hire Date: Date you complete the application (this is your hire date for SC not for Skyline)
We will obtain the signature of the state qualified manager once we have processed your application and before it is sent to the state.
The Affidavit of Eligibility (attached) must be printed and notarized, meaning the employee must appear in person, in front of a notary public. Once completed, the employee will need to mail it in with his application to the address below.
Step 2 – Additional Requirements
The following items need to be submitted along with your application packet.
Copy of your State issued ID
Copy of your social security card (your registration will be denied without this) - you can mail a copy with your application
Background check results (we will use the background check from when you onboarded)
Step 3 - Submit
There is no fee to submit an employee registration packet.

Once issued, your registration will first be sent to our Downey office. We will get a copy for your employee files, confirm your current mailing address and send it to you.

Once you have been inactive for more than 30 days with Skyline, I am required to terminate your employment with Skyline in the state of SC. You will be notified via email before we send the form in. If you are a summer employee and wish to come back the next year, be sure to let us know so that we can keep you on the employee roster.
A termination form must be emailed to the state within 30 days of the employee leaving.

Q: Who is required to obtain a license/registration?
A: Both Salespersons and Technicians are required to submit an employee registration packet.
Q: Can I submit this without a copy of my social security card?
A: No, the state will reject your packet if your social security card is not included.
Q: How long does a new application take to process?
A: A new application takes about 24 hours to process.
Q: Once issued, how long is the license good for?
A: There is no expiration date, all employees are renewed automatically with the company license.
Q: Do I need to switch my registration from one company to another?
A: No, you will be required to submit a new application for each company.
