Once registered any course materials, if required, will be mailed to you. Be sure to pay close attention through the course as you will be required to pass a proctored exam at the end of the course.
When you received your certification, be sure to email a copy to Compliance. A copy will also need to be included with your application when sent to the state.
Step 2 – Application Process
Employees need to complete the MS Electronic Protection Systems application. Then they need to schedule an appointment to turn in the application with the state.
Appointments can be made on Tuesdays or Thursdays by calling (601)359-1066. Do not be late to this appointment or you will have to reschedule.
Step 3 – Additional Requirements
Fingerprint Request Form – to be turned in at appointment
Live scan – done at appointment
Photo – can be emailed or turned in at appointment
Step 4 - Fee & Submit
The application fee is $150 and the live scan fee is $50 and they can be paid together at the time of the appointment. Cash, credit, debit, or checks are accepted.

Once you have completed all requirements and paid the required fees, it will take the state approximately 4 - 6 weeks to process and issue your registration.
When you receive your registration in the mail, be sure to send a copy to Compliance.

Step 2 – Application Process
There are two ways to renew for the state of Mississippi, you can do it online (recommended) or by mailing in a renewal packet.
ONLINE:
All salespersons and technicians can renew online by going to the Mississippi Sircon Online Portal.
1. Click on Renew or Reinstate a License
2. Click on Renew Insurance Licenses
3. Choose Individual and then select continue.
4. Enter your email address
5. For Renewal State you can choose either All Available States or Mississippi.
6. Proceed through the renewal process and upload docs when requested.
*If you have trouble uploading docs, you can send them instead to Compliance and we will forward them on to the state.
**You will need to have your license number readily available when renewing online. You cannot renew without it.
BY MAIL:
All salespersons and technicians will need to complete the MS Electronic Protection License Renewal Application needs to be completed.
*You can complete this application electronically before you print, however please note that this application will not save with any information entered on to it.
Step 3 – Additional Requirements
Each renewal will need to be accompanied by the following items:
Continuing Education Certificates – 12 hours are required for each renewal applicant.
Step 4 - Fee & Submit
ONLINE:
The renewal fee is $50 and can be paid for at the end of your online renewal process with a credit or debit card.
*If you need to submit a check, you will need to mail in the renewal packet.
BY MAIL:
The renewal fee is $50 and can be paid for with a check or money order payable to Mississippi Insurance Department.

Information:
All employees need to have their registration associated with Skyline if working in the state of Mississippi. If you already hold a registration when you come on-board, then you will need to complete a Mississippi Notification Form and have it sent to the state. If you would like for us to submit this for you, then just send a copy of your registration card to Compliance and we can submit the notification form for you.

Information:
Once you have been inactive with our company for more than 90 days, we are required to terminate you from the company employee list. Before this is done, we will notify you via email. If you will be coming back on for the next summer, we are able to keep you on our employee list, we will just need to be notified that you will be back and your projected start date.
If you no longer wish to work with Skyline Security, you can inform us to have you removed from the list, or are able to submit the form on your own.

Q: Who is required to obtain a license/registration?
A: Both Salespersons and Technicians are required to obtain the Electronic Protection Systems Employee registration.
Q: How long does a new application take to process?
A: A new registration can take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to process.
Q: Once issued, how long is the license good for?
A: The license will be good for two full years once issued.
Q: How long does a renewal application take to process?
A: A renewal application can take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to process.
Q: How early can I renew?
A: You can renew as early as 6 months before your license expires. Be sure to submit the renewal at least 1 month before to allow time for processing.
Q: Do I need to switch my registration from one company to another?
A: You do need to submit an employment update form to the state when switching companies.
