Step 1 – Fingerprint Clearance Card
Before you can apply for the Alarm Agent registration you will need to hold a valid Fingerprint Clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The application for the Fingerprint Clearance Card is done online at https://psp.azdps.gov/. You will need to create an account and submit the application prior to completing the live scan.
When done, you will get an email with an application #. You are required to send that to compliance@skylinesecurity.com. You will also be provided with a reference # that you need to provide to the live scan vendor before getting your prints taken.
Payment for your live scan should be made online at the time of the application.
For a live scan/fingerprint location, I would first recommend checking your local Police Department. Most offer services for residents for a small fee. Otherwise, google "live scan locations near me" and see what comes up in your area.
If they cannot submit your prints electronically, then you will need to email a fingerprint card in with your confirmation.
Be sure to inform Licensing of when your appointment is. We will follow up with you after to make sure it was completed.
Once issued, you will need to make sure a copy of the front and back is sent to Licensing at compliance@skylinesecurity.com.
Step 2 – Application Process
**You cannot start the application process until you have been issued a fingerprint clearance card OR provide confirmation that it is processing. You will be required to submit a copy to Compliance.
Employees that provide a front and back copy of their fingerprint clearance card will be automatically sent an application to complete via PandaDocs.
*If you have not yet received your application, be sure to let us know.
We can submit the application without the fingerprint clearance card ONLY IF your background report from when you onboarded shows no charges AND you have provided us with confirmation that your fingerprint clearance card has been submitted and is processing.
Anyone with charges on their background report will have to wait for their Fingerprint Clearance Card to be issued BEFORE they can submit their application.
Step 3 – Additional Requirements
Copy of your Photo ID - we will use what is in Orion or we will notify you to resubmit.
2” x 2” passport photo - we will use what is in Orion or we will notify you to resubmit.
Copy of front and back of fingerprint clearance card
Copy of Background Report (For Temps) - we will provide the report we ran when you onboarded with us
Confirmation a Fingerprint Clearance Card was submitted for and is processing with the AZ DPS (For Temps)
Step 4 - Fee & Submit
The Alarm Agent application fee is $260 per individual.
We will cover this fee and have it deducted back through payroll.
It will take the Alarm Board at least 3 months to process and issue your Alarm Agent registration. If they need any additional documentation to complete the processing, you will be notified during this time.
*The state may issue you a temporary permit to begin working if you are still waiting on your fingerprint clearance card to be issued. Any temporary permit will only be good for 60 days.
Once issued, be sure to send a copy to Compliance.
