Step by Step Process:
1. Before you can complete the course registration, you will first need to choose a training course. A course schedule can be found on the Florida Alarm School Calendar.
2. Once you have decided on a course, you can scroll over the date and click the Register Now button to go to the online registration. Payment is made online via credit or debit through PayPal.
3. You will also need to submit a course registration form. You can send your signature on a blank white piece of paper and an approved photo to Compliance and we can submit it for you.
*Check with Compliance on what requirements an approved photo must meet.
4. Once the course has been confirmed, FL AS will reach out with the course details a few days prior to the course being held.
*If you need assistance with the course fees, be sure to notify Compliance.
After the course:
5. Be sure to notify us if you passed or failed the course test. If you passed, your badge and certificate will be mailed to us at our Downey Corporate office. We will confirm your mailing address before forwarding it on to you.
Live Scan/Fingerprints:
Your last step is to go get live scanned at an approved live scan vendor.
You can schedule an appointment by going to https://fl.state.identogo.com/.
Click on Schedule a New Appointment, click acknowledgement.
If asked for the agency, it is the FDLE, when asked for the ORI it is FL737812Z.
When prompted, enter your zip code, from here you can view all participating locations and times that are available near you.
Complete the registration form then click submit.
Do not be late to your appointment. When done, be sure to send me a copy of the receipt as proof
Once done with your live scan, email a copy of your receipt to Compliance. The fee for your live scan and for your report will be charged to you at the time of the live scan.

Step by Step Process
1. If you are coming over from another company and previously took your course through the FL Alarm School, you can complete an employer update by completing the ID Card Application form.
2. Once done, be sure to email it to Compliance and we can obtain the qualifier’s signature and send it on to the training school for you.
3. You badge will be mailed to us at our Downey Corporate office. We will forward it on to the address listed in Orion.

1. Go online to ESA FASA/BASA Initial 14 Hour Online Course.
*Be sure to notify Compliance if you need any assistance with course fees.
**Let us know if you are a w-2 employee before signing up for the course.
2. Once registered, you will have 90 days to complete the course and take the test.
*You can access the course at any time, but it must be done through a PC or Laptop, it cannot be accessed over phones or tablets.
4. Once you have completed the course, ESA will send your information over to PSI, who will inform you of how you can register for your exam. You must complete the exam with a 75% or higher to pass. You will be notified if you pass or fail at the end of the exam, if you fail, you can request a retake within 6 months of initial exam.
5. As soon as you pass you will receive a certificate of completion which needs to be sent to Compliance along with the following information:
Passport type photo – MUST be a head shot with white background – no hat or sunglasses.
Copy of your signature – scan and send a copy of your signature on a white piece of paper.
6. Once these items are received, your badge form will be submitted for you. The badge when issued will be emailed to you, be sure to send a copy to Compliance, so that it can be put in your employee file and updated on our end.
Live Scan/Fingerprints:
Your last step is to go get live scanned at an approved live scan vendor.
I recommend googling "Live Scan Service Providers Near Me" and call the ones closest to you to see if an appointment is required.
You will need to provide them with the ORI # FL737812Z.

Each person employed by Skyline in the state of Florida is required to complete a live scan when first hired.
This must be done in the state of Florida.
Best way to locate a live scan provider is to google "live scan providers near me" and choose the location most convenient to you.
You will need to provide them with the ORI# FL737812Z.
Once done with your live scan, be sure to email a copy of the receipt to Licensing at compliance@skylinesecurity.com.
The fee for your live scan and report will be charged to you at the time of the live scan.

Q: Who is required to obtain a FASA/BASA certification?
A: Both Salespersons and Technicians are required to obtain the FASA/BASA certification.
Q: How long does a new certification take to process?
A: A new certification is processed immediately upon completing the initial course.
Q: Once issued, how long is the certification good for?
A: The certification is good for two full years once the course has been completed.
Q: How long does a renewal application take to process?
A: The renewal certification is processed immediately once you complete the renewal course.
Q: How early can I renew?
A: You will need to take the renewal course at least two weeks before your current certification runs out.
Q: Do I need to switch my certification from one company to another?
A: Yes, you will need to inform the training school of the employment change and may possibly need to submit a transfer form depending on the school you complete the training through.
Q: I have lost my certification badge, how can I get another?
A: Depending on the school, the badge is now offered electronically. For a hard badge, you can request that through the school you completed your training through by paying an additional fee.
