Municipal Licensing is the licensing that you must hold in each City or County that you are working in. Each city, county or municipal area may have different requirements to be followed. All salespersons are responsible for making sure that they obtain their municipal registrations and be aware of any laws or restrictions in place for the city, county or municipal area that they are working in.
The following cities/communities within CO have confirmed that they do not allow door to door soliciting within their limits:

The online portal is through the Denver Permitting and Licensing Center:

During the process, each person applying will need to complete/provide the following:
· CBI Background Check – Done through https://www.cbirecordscheck.com/
· Criminal History Form
· Peddler’s Guideline form – signed and acknowledged
· Headshot – clear in color, full head and shoulders with no hats, glasses and no hair covering your eyes.
· Drivers License or State Issued ID
*Note – all files uploaded must be in .pdf or .jpg format.
Once submitted, the fee is $50 and is paid through the online portal via a bank account or VISA, Mastercard or Discover.
The city will take around 7 business days to review our application. All communications sent from the city will be done via email.
Incomplete applications will be provided 14 days to correct.
Once approved, the city will email a copy of the professional license and a temporary badge document that is valid for 10 days, while the hard copy is mailed to the address on the application.
The badge will be valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
You must always carry your peddler badge on you while in the city.

Each person that will be selling in the city must go in person to the City Clerks office to complete the application and pay the fee.
Fees are based no how long the employee will be selling in the city. $10 per day / $50 per month / $100 per year.
City Clerk is located at 601 Colorado Ave and office hours are Mon - Fri from 8AM - 12PM / 1PM - 4PM.

Information
Each person selling will need to go to City Hall and pick up a background check form. That form needs to be taken to the Police Department Records office where the rep will need to pay the $10 fee and take it back to the Finance Office so they can sign the form and get approved to work.
