All salespersons are responsible for making sure that they obtain their municipal registrations and be aware of any laws or restrictions in place for the city, county or municipal area that they are working in.

Each person going door to door need to apply for their own individual business tax license. The application must be done online through the city portal. Once submitted, the city will review it and let you know if anything needs to be corrected. Once approved, the city will send you an invoice. You can do that online with your customer number. Once payment is completed, you will recieve the license via email.

Each person needs to print and complete the application. Once done, they will need to mak an appointment to get fingerprinted by the Orlando Police Department. The application needs to be taken to the fingerprint appointment to be approved. After the appointment, the approved application needs to be uploaded through the Orlando permit portal. Once approved, an invoice will be received from the state which can paid that online. Once paid, the applicant needs to reply to the payment email and the city will email the permit to the applicant. The permit must be printed and carried on the license holder at all times while working in Orlando.

Each person soliciting must go in person to the city Business Tax office, located at 160 Lake Avenue in Palm Coast, FL 32164, to pick up an application and pay the $55 application fee.
Then each person needs to go to the Flagler County Sheriff's Department located at 14 Palm Harbor Village Way, Palm Coast, FL 32137, to get their fingerprints done and pay the $5 fingerprint fee.
Once done with the fingerprints, each person will need to file for the criminal background check through the FDLE website and pay the background check fee.
The city will receive the background report from the Sherrif within 60 days. At that time, the city will either approve or deny the application and notify the applicant via phone or mail.
