Municipal Licensing is the licensing that you must hold in each City or County that you are working in. Each city, county or municipal area may have different requirements to be followed. All salespersons are responsible for making sure that they obtain their municipal registrations and be aware of any laws or restrictions in place for the city, county or municipal area that they are working in.

Each person going door to door will need to complete the application and submit it either in-person or by mail. The fee must be paid at the time of the application is submitted. The fee is $60 for the application and $150 for the background fee. If submitted in-person, fee can be paid for with cash, check, card or money order. If submitted by mail, then it must be check or money order. It will take 1 - 2 weeks for the application to be processed.

Each person going door to door in the city must apply for a Solicitor License in person at the East Peoria Police Department located at 201 W Washington street. You must have a valid ID/DL when applying. There is no fee for this license. Once submitted, it will take a few days for processing. Once issued, you must carry the license on you while working in the city.
