Step 1 – Training Requirements

Salespersons and Technicians are both required to hold the same certification to apply for either registration type. Accepted certifications include:

• NICET Level 1

• ESA Level 1 (recommended)

• NESA Level 1

• Elite CEU Level 1

Once done with your course, you will have to pass a proctored exam. The first exam fee is free with your course. If you fail your exam then you will be required to pay a retest fee to take the exam again. 

When you received your certification, be sure to email a copy to Compliance. A copy will also need to be included with your application when sent to the state.

Step 2 – Application Process

*Please note that each registration type requires you to submit a separate application.

Employees need to complete the following forms:

• Alarm Systems Agent Registration (SALES)

• Alarm Systems Technician Registration (TECHS)

Make sure to complete the entire application, any application with missing information may be returned by the state, to be corrected.

Step 3 – Additional Requirements

• Training certificate

• Live Scan Receipt (IN-STATE APPLICANTS)

  • • Here is a list of live scan operators

• 2 Fingerprint Cards (OUT-OF-STATE APPLICANTS)

• 2 Passport style photos:

  • • Taken within the last 6 months

    • White or off-white background

    • No hats or glasses

    • Full face and shoulders

    • No selfies or filters

    • Name written across back of each

    • Seal both into envelope

Step 4 - Fee & Submit

Application fee is $40. Background fees total to $36.25. These fees can be paid together for the total of $76.25 per person, per registration type. This can be paid for with a company check or money order made payable to Arkansas State Police.

Once all forms have been completed and all additional requirements are included, everything will be to be sent to:

*We need copies of all documents being sent to the state – be sure to send them to us if you mail anything directly to the state. You can send copies to Compliance.

This state does not allow anyone to work on a temporary license. 

Process time for this registration is typically 2 – 4 weeks but can sometimes take longer. For an update on your application process, you can call Arkansas State Police at (501)618-8000 or via email.

Once issued, the registration will be valid for two years. You will be notified by the state and Skyline once it is time to renew.

Step 1 – Application Process

Employees need to complete the Employee Transfer form. Your previous company will need to complete a portion of the form and provide a signature. 

*If you are unable to get your previous company to sign this document, you cannot complete a transfer and will have to reapply as a new applicant.

Once complete, you will need to send it to Compliance so that we can obtain the proper signature from our qualified manager.

Step 2 - Additional Requirements 

Along with your transfer form, you must submit the following:

• 2 x physical fingerprint cards

Step 3 - Fee & Submit

The transfer fee is $56.25. It must be paid with a check or money order made payable to Arkansas State Police.

Once your transfer has been processed, your new ID will be mailed to our Downey office. We will reach out at that time to verify your current mailing address to forward that to you.
