Step 1 – Training

Techs – Certified Alarm Technician Level 1

*Please note that sales reps cannot sell commercial fire accounts if they do not complete the training course.

*Before signing up for the course, be sure to let us know if you are a w-2 employee or 1099

**If you need assistance with course fees, be sure to reach out to Compliance.

Once registered any course materials, if required, will be mailed to you. Be sure to pay close attention through the course as you will be required to pass a proctored exam at the end of the course.

When you received your certification, be sure to email a copy to Compliance. A copy will also need to be included with your application when sent to the state.

*If you already hold this certification and it is current, let us know and you may be able to forgo this part.

Step 2 – Application Process

*Please note that the technician registration requires a certification course to be done prior to submitting the application.

When informed of a new hire, we will send out a form via DocuSign, based on the type of work the employee will be performing:

• Salesperson Application (SALES)

• Technician Application (TECHS)

• Affidavit of Lawful Presence (BOTH)

*If you are wanting to both sell and install you will be required to submit both applications, so be sure to let us know so that we can send you both.

Please note that this MUST be completed through DocuSign so that the state manager can also provide his signature where needed. If you have not received your DocuSign, please let us know and we will resend it right away.

Once completed, you will be emailed your completed application to print and send in with the additional requirements and fee.

*To sell commercial fire accounts in OK a sales rep would be required to complete training. 

Step 3 – Additional Requirements

• Two Completed Fingerprint Cards

• Training Certificate (TECHS)

• Passport Style Photo

ID Requirements are as follows; two forms of ID first must be:

• Copy of unexpired Driver’s License OR State Issued Photo ID OR Military ID AND

Second must be:

• Copy of birth certificate OR Social Security Card OR a valid unexpired passport OR a w-2 form/1099 form from current employer.

Step 4 - Fee & Submit

Application fee is $49 per person, per registration type and can be paid with check or money order payable to the OK Department of Labor.

Once your registration has been issued, be sure to send a copy to Compliance to update your license and clear you to work in the state.
