3.1.1.1 Chartered Peer-to-Peer & Private Equity Mortgage Brokerage (C-PEM®-B) Requirements

A Professional designation; once the professional study is completed a student must complete the certification process which consists of a combination of:

- The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university.

- Professional Education Completion (C-PEM®-B)

- Assessment of Practical Experience

- Examination

To enroll for the C-PEM®-B exam, candidates must satisfy the following:

Earned a bachelor's agree or accredited university equivalence

Have worked in the private lending field at the time of examination enrollment 

Have at least three (5) years (within the past five (7) years) of professional-level experience in the private equity mortgage field

 

For licensed mortgage brokers Licensed Mortgage Brokers doing more than 55% private mortgage business volume, please provide us the following:

 

1 - Current Government/Regulatory Body-issued mortgage broker/sub-broker/agent license certificate.

2 - Current year professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance application.

3 - Current year professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance certificate.

Once we have all three items, we can proceed to an application process and evaluate you based upon the following:

Requirements:

Tier 2 mortgage brokers and their qualified agents are government-licensed in the jurisdictions in which they trade; and, 

 

Act primarily for non-bank, non-institutional, non-syndicated, non-regulated or regulatory exempt and free trading; also known as Peer-to-Peer (P2P)/Private/Crypto/Secret/Shadow mortgage investor-lenders (it is precisely due to its knowledge of these investor-lenders, that a Tier 2 mortgage broker is able to Beat or Bypass® their country's banking system).

 

Further, the mortgage brokerage and their qualified agents are specially trained in all aspects of bank, non-bank and private mortgage transactions by the Private Mortgage Institute.

 

Greater than 55% of the mortgage brokerages prior year annual mortgage origination volume consists of transactions classified as private equity mortgages.

Additionally, the mortgage brokerage and their qualified agents have professional liability insurance which acknowledges that they trade in - and are insured for - claims of negligence brought about due to their bank, non-bank and private equity mortgage transaction activity. 

 

Moreover, the mortgage brokerage and their qualified agents must have completed a course in ethics and fraud avoidance. 

The mortgage broker has implemented a certified quality management system built on the principles of "BlockChain" (a "BlockChain™ brand quality management system").

The mortgage broker has implemented a Sarbanes-Oxley level of internal controls

The mortgage broker has established a routine of ad hoc, internal audits and at least 2 third-party operation audits per year

Finally, the agents who transact in regulatory licensed activities must have earned the Qualified Private Equity Mortgage Advisor (Q-PEM®-A) designation.
