2.1 PEMI®-Certified ACCREDITED-CLASS® Peer-to-Peer & Private Equity Mortgage Investor-Lender (APL)

An investor designation for a person who trades as an investor or lender in private equity mortgages.

If you hold yourself out as a "private lender". The first question the general public needs to know, is if "you really are a private lender." Who knows? What if you are merely "deal making" and have no private equity of your own to lend?

For an applicant, this is a risky proposition because the applicant does not know where their personal financial details are being forwarded to. Further, the general public does not know that you are not a fraudster looking to obtain your mortgage application in order to use your sensitive credit file data in order to steal unsuspecting real property owner's identity. Or worse?

PEM Institute determines if a private investor (individual or corporate) meets standards to qualify as a PEMI®-Certified Accredited-Class® Private Equity Mortgage Investor-Lender (APL).

Criteria:

By meeting eligibility criteria identified at www.accreditedclass.com; we certify that the individual has the net-worth, financial capability and experience to lend in primary mortgage securities, as an investor or lender; and hold themselves out as an Accredited-Class® Private Equity Mortgage Investor-Lender (APL).

Additionally, APL's are required to adhere to the PEM Institute's principles of credit delivery, namely:

1 - good faith lending

2 - honoring commitments

3 - working with borrowers when times get tough

Individuals who meet the accreditation standards are conferred the Accredited-Class® Private Equity Mortgage Investor-Lender (APL) designation; and may also be referred to as Accredited-Class® (www.accreditedclass.com) investors.

APL's deal with the general public exclusively through brokerages with the P2PL Source Identifier Trademark.
