The Orange Lions have made it to 3-0 for the third consecutive season. With great defense and an offensive explosion in the second half, the Orange Lions defeated the CVCA Royals 38-9 last Friday evening. The first half belonged to Senior WR Milan Pittmon as he scored on receptions of 7 and 78 yards from Senior QB Ryan Singer to put the Lions up 17-3. But a late touchdown on 3rd and 15 by CVCA would give the Royals a glimpse of hope going into halftime with a score of 17-9. The Royals would remain scoreless, however; in the second half due to the swarming defense that created 2 second half turnovers. Milan Pittmon's contributions on the defensive side of the ball led to his 9 tackles and a sack; while the efforts of Junior LB Austin Ector (12 tackles) also helped stymie the CVCA offense.

The first half scores came from the aerial attack of the Orange Lions, but the second half belonged to the "Ground and Pound" game. Behind the great blocks of the offensive line, touchdown runs by QB Ryan Singer, RB's Lamar Dixon, and DaJuan White would allow the Lions to score 21 unanswered points in the second half to finish the game.

This Friday, The Orange Lions host conference opponent Painesville Harvey at 7:00PM in the Lions Den. This Friday is also "Youth Night" for all of the youth and recreation programs in Orange. Please come show your support of your Orange Lions as they take on the Red Raiders this Friday night to make it 4-0 for the first time since 2007!
