The Orange Lions Football Program earned their 6th win this past Friday over the Geneva Eagles in what turned out to be a dominant game. The Lions and Eagles started the game battling up front. Geneva demonstrated by their play that they would not lay down to The Lions by scoring twice in the first half and blocking a couple of The Lion's extra points.

Junior RB Diante White provided the spark and the points for The Lions. White scored twice in the first half and also threw for another. White first scored on a 20 yard pass from Senior QB Sean Borgman, and then ran for another when he broke loose for a 66 yard touchdown run. Then, later in the 2nd quarter, White would throw a 49 yard touchdown pass to Senior WR Armon Frey that put The Lions up 18-14 going into halftime.

Orange came out in the second half getting the ball. Geneva held in tough and forced The Lions to punt on their opening drive. When Borgman punted the football, Armon Frey was there at the 2 yard line of Geneva to down the ball and pin them deep in their own territory. From there, The Lion defense took over. Led by Senior LB Noah Klubnik, The Lions sank their claws in. On Genevas opening drive, pinned deep in their own territory, Klubnik would force a fumble that was recovered by Junior DL Tanner Coker. Coker almost got into the endzone, but was stopped just short. From there, Sean Borgman would punch it in. Diante White would also provide two more scores of 2 yards and 86 yards to put the nail in the coffin. The Orange Lions earned their 6th win getting them to 6-1 on the season; and the first time The Orange Football Program was had 4 consecutive winning season since the late 1940's and early 1950's.

This week, The Lions (6-1, 2-1) will travel to conference foe Perry (6-1, 3-0) in what will prove to be a clash of two very good programs. The winner of this game gets one step closer to the CVC Championship this season. Come out to Perry to support The Lions as they look to get 7-1! Kickoff is set for 7pm! Go Lions!
